Hello! My name is Joni and I’m a neurodivergent, genderqueer therapist in training, in the 5th year of my PsyD program at Adler University. I take a trauma-informed, relational, and strengths-based approach in my work, drawing influence from Psychoanalytic and Adlerian theories as well. I first learned about the transformative power of relationships from my work as a summer camp counselor and outdoor educator. Ever since, I’ve studied the parallels between best practices in the two fields, which has led me to a relational practice focused on the here-and-now, enriching connections, and restoring aliveness. I am passionate about working with neuro- and gender-queer individuals across the lifespan, including children and adolescents (ages 6-12), teens, young and emerging adults, and adults.
