Hello, my name is Ricketha, and I am excited to work with you!

As a Black, neurodivergent, genderqueer clinician, I take pride in fostering a safe,
compassionate, and welcoming space to delve into your current life
challenges/transitions, identity exploration, and relationship dynamics. Together we will
explore ways to identify and address the things that matter most about shaping the
future you desire.

I have a background in sociology and am currently pursuing a dual Master of Social
Work and an M.A. in Women’s Studies and Gender Studies at Loyola University
Chicago. I have worked in the healthcare field for six years now, with my professional
journey beginning as a mental health case manager. While supporting clients
transitioning to independent living, I used a client-centered care model upholding the
core value of self-determination. This experience solidified my interest in social work
and led me to pursue a service placement as an AmeriCorps VISTA with an LGBTQ+
outreach in my home state of Alabama. My time was spent facilitating support groups,
assisting with event planning, and co-facilitating cultural competency trainings, further
strengthening my commitment to affirming and inclusive care. My graduate training has
allowed me to expand my clinical skills across multiple settings, building anti-oppressive
and trauma-informed frameworks.

I am excited to work with clients from all walks of life and all ages, with a passion for
working with Black and brown folks. I bring with me a sex-positive, LGBTQ+ affirming,
and strengths-based approach. I am eager to support the emotional well-being and
overall health of Chicagoland communities. Whether you are searching for a new
