Erin Malone, LCSW (she/they)
My journey to clinical work has been shaped by professional experiences as an advocate, educator, and grassroots environmental/community organizer. I believe that none of us can heal on an individual level while battling against oppressive and broken systems. I am an abolitionist, committed anti-racist practitioner, and lifelong learner. In addition, my personal experiences as a queer, neurodivergent (AuDHD person have shaped how I approach and understand other people.
These diverse backgrounds have helped me cultivate how we, as individuals, intricately interact with all of the systems around us. I am deeply committed to acknowledging and dismantling oppressive structures (particularly advocating against white supremacy, ableism, homophobia, transphobia, and fatphobia) and fostering a therapeutic environment that is inclusive and affirming for all.
I believe that to understand an individual, you must look at how to contend with the power structures that shape their world, like systemic racism, classism, sexism, and homophobia.. My approach with clients is collaborative, strength-based, and non-judgmental. We will work together to tailor our sessions to your unique needs. My goal is always to provide a safe, compassionate, and judgment-free environment where you can embark on a journey of self-discovery. Together, we will develop new skills and strategies to navigate life's challenges while celebrating your strength.
