Kristin Hettich (she/her)
I am in my second year of Loyola University’s Master’s of Social Work program. I started this journey later in life after a career in the nonprofit and philanthropic sectors that included experiences with AmeriCorps and Peace Corps. My previous studies include an undergraduate degree in International Studies with a focus on Peace and Conflict Resolution, and a graduate degree in Forest Ecology.
As someone who has followed a rather circuitous path in life, I have an appreciation and understanding for those who may be questioning where they are in their life, are going through life transitions, experiencing imposter syndrome, or experiencing burnout, and look forward to holding space with them.
I am interested working with adults, women, older adults, those going through life transitions, depression, anxiety, older women going through life transitions (defined broadly), women's health including reproductive health issues/reproductive choice, family dynamics/estrangement, isolation, burnout.
I am also a yoga practitioner who is interested in how mindfulness, meditation, breath work, movement, and yoga’s dialectical thinking of “effort” and “ease” influence wellbeing. The environment is a passion of mine and I believe spending time in nature and away from my screens is important.
